GhazzyTV's Dominating Blow Necromancer Gear, Jewels, and Flasks (PoE Necropolis)
Summary
Cap your Elemental Resistances and get the attributes your gems require to make sure you can use them all.
My quick list recommended approach for this build would be:
Item Slot | Item Name/Mods | Rarity |
Head | Life then Res/Attributes as needed | Rare |
Amulet | Life then Res/Attributes as needed | Rare |
Chest | Life then Res/Attributes as needed | Rare |
Gloves | Life then Res/Attributes as needed | Rare |
Boots | Life then Res/Attributes as needed | Rare |
Belt | Darkness Enthroned | Unique |
Rings | Life then Res/Attributes as needed | Rare |
Weapon | The Scourge or a rare Gemini Claw for life/mana on hit with minion dmg and a trigger craft | Unique/Rare |
Shield | Life then Res/Attributes as needed; can include “% chance to block spell dmg” | Rare |
Armour Pieces
Many of the higher budget examples can either be purchased or crafted. When crafting, I would strongly suggest utilizing Craft of Exile to determine the cheapest approach to crafting the desired items.
Since most items in this build are Rare, the main focus will be to have as much Life as possible and sort any attributes and resistances so we can reach the desired caps. However, there are some juicy choices one can take to increase the build’s efficiency, although they will come with a higher price tag.
Helmet
This piece specifically is the only one with a crucial modifier in the low budget version of the build. You’ll definitely want to include a +1 or +2 level of all minion skills, as this is a big boost for all our minions. Besides this, you’ll simply look for high life with any resistances and/or attributes if you need:
Body Armor
Similar to the Helmet, we go for high Life with whatever attributes or resistance you might need. For a higher budget version, you can consider looking at the Hunter-influenced modifier requiring item level 80+, “#% increased effect of Offerings”, which helps our defensive scaling thanks to the Bone Offering buff.
Gloves
Generic high Life with any needed resistances and/or attributes, though getting a pair with minion damage would obviously be preferable.
Boots
Look for high Life, attributes, and resistances as needed. Higher budget options are rather limited in this slot. Getting “+ level of Spectre gems” from an Elder pair of Boots is a nice touch, but even for high budget, I wouldn’t personally bother. Instead, I would go for high Movement Speed as my priority on top of the defensive stats.
Belt
The best option is also the cheapest option which would be the Darkness Enthroned. Do keep in mind that this belt scales any jewel you put inside it by between 1.5 and 2.0. This allows you to get very high Life, damage, or even resistances (if needed) from the jewels you include in this belt.
Cheap Jewel:
Optimal Jewel:
Don’t forget the importance of reaching 100% chance to poison on hit for your minions in the poison variant, they get 40% from the support gem so you’ll need another 60% via jewels like this:
Accessories
Amulet
The low budget version literally only wants Life, Resistances, and Attributes (if needed) on this slot:
Anoint
The anoint you want is Testudo.
Rings
Since we can get rings that can roll minion related modifiers that’s what we’ll be aiming for, highest priority is having life on them and any resistances and/or attributes if needed, outside of that you can get both generic minion damage modifier as well as attack speed on these bad boys:
Weapons
You can either settle with something cheap, such as The Scourge, but to make playing the build much smoother you’ll want a Trigger crafted weapon granting Increased Minion Damage. This is best achieved on a Gemini Claw, and you’ll also gain some Life and mana on hit.
Shield
Focus on high Life, Resistances, and Attributes, as needed. For high budget options you’d want to look for “#% increased chance to block spell damage”. The most important stat here is to have “% Life recovered on block,” which comes from the Shaper influence and is ultimately the most expensive item for this build.
Flasks
Flask set-ups are almost always a matter of personal taste when it comes to what utility flasks to use. However, I will list the set-up I’ve been using for a smooth play experience. To find the available list of modifiers the flasks can have, check out these links: Utility Flasks, Life Flasks, Mana Flasks & lastly: Hybrid Flasks
Slot | Flask | Description |
1 | Divine Life Flask | Life flask, preferably with instant recovery & bleed removal |
2 | Eternal Life Flask | Helps you regenerate health and great option for Freeze and Chill removal modifier |
3 | Rumi's Concoction | Helps you reach that sweet block cap for both attacks and spells |
4 | ?? | Any utility flask option you feel is fitting for your play-style |
5 | Quicksilver Flask | Increases your movement speed |
Jewels
Minions builds almost always use the same type of jewels. We want to have an eHP increasers, which for this build means a Life roll. The main damage modifier we are looking for is only available from Ghastly Eye Jewel which is the “#% Increased Minion Damage when you’ve used a minion skill recently”. Anything besides those two modifiers can be either attack speed increase for your minions or added physical damage for your minions.
Other desirable modifiers include Taunt or Blind on hit for your minions. These modifiers are also exclusive to the Ghastly Eye Jewels.
