Manni's Lightning Arrow Deadeye Build PoB, Passive Skill Tree and Gem Links (PoE Necropolis)
Passive Skill Tree
The included Path of Building contains multiple Passive Skill Trees for different stages of the build progression. Sticking to the provided trees will work perfectly fine, but below I have included some variations and adjustments you can make to better adapt to the gear that you have or might find.
Attributes
We have easy access to two passives that grant 30 INT or 30 STR each that we can temporarily pick up to make up for gear shortcomings.
Spell Damage Suppression
The provided passive tree already grants 80% Suppression on its own and an additional 15% if our 4 Armour Pieces have Evasion on them to use the Evasion Mastery that grants Spell Suppression.
We can pick up another 5% Suppression if we use an additional passive on the Entrench Cluster to reliably cap out Spell Suppression Chance with passive skill points instead of getting it from our gear.
Conversely, we can drop some of the Spell Suppression passives if we happen to get Spell Suppression on our gear. Ideally, we check our gear regularly and adjust our passive tree accordingly.
Accuracy
Similar to Suppression, we can adapt our tree to how much Accuracy we have on our current gear. Generally, we need at least 3,300 Accuracy Rating (Check this stat in your character panel, Default Hotkey C) for tier 16 maps. If our gear is lacking Accuracy and we cannot fix it by changing gear, we can pick Depth Perception to improve our Accuracy Rating. Any Accuracy above 4500 is entirely useless, so if we happen to have too much Accuracy Rating, we can consider removing Acuity or its Mastery.
Other Adaptations
- Survivalist is a decent temporary pick-up if we are lacking a bit of Elemental Resistances.
- The “Monsters cannot block your Attacks” Mastery on Multishot is a very good temporary pick-up for Expedition content.
- The “+15% Chance to Suppress Spell Damage if Equipped Helmet, Body Armour, Gloves and Boots all have Evasion Rating” Mastery on Revenge of the Hunted is a dead passive point if we happen to have an Armour piece without Evasion, and can be reallocated elsewhere in that case.
Gem Links
Here is another overview of our Gem Links for the endgame crit-based version.
Note that we do not require more than two 5-Links to run Tier 16 Maps. Nonetheless, 6-Links are huge damage boosts, and getting one for Lightning Arrow is one of our first goals in the endgame.
Lightning Arrow
Lightning Arrow has priority over Artillery Ballista for our first 6-Link. Note that a 5-Link is perfectly sufficient to clear tier 16 maps.
Lightning Arrow’s gem quality is insanely powerful and we should try to reach 20 quality on it as soon as possible!
- Lightning Arrow
- Mirage Archer Support
- Trinity Support
- Returning Projectiles Support
- Increased Critical Damage Support
- ( Inspiration Support for a 6-Link)
Critical Damage can be replaced by Increased Critical Strikes Support if our Bow has less than 6% base Crit Chance.
Critical Damage can also be substituted by Elemental Damage with Attacks Support or Added Cold Damage Support if you have a corrupted 5-Link or 6-Link with different colours that you cannot change.
Artillery Ballista
We do not expect to have more than a 5-Link here and should only 6-link the Artillery Ballista after we have two 6-linked items.
- Artillery Ballista
- Focused Ballista Support
- Elemental Damage with Attacks Support
- Increased Critical Damage Support
- Elemental Focus Support
- ( Elemental Penetration Support for a 6-Link)
Again, we can use Increased Critical Strikes Support over Crit Damage if our Bow’s base crit chance is below 6%.
Manaforged Arrows Utility Setup
This 4-Link setup goes in any of our 4-Socket items.
This setup will passively generate both Frenzy Charges and Power Charges, granting us extra Damage, Attack Speed and Critical Strike Chance, as long as we are spending Mana on Lightning Arrow.
Sniper’s Mark
This 4-Link setup goes into any of our 4-Socket items.
Sniper’s Mark will cost around 70 Mana to be triggered so we usually need Lifetap to be able to pay for it with our life pool instead, not taking the risk of running out of mana and becoming unable to attack or trigger the Sniper’s Mark.
Auras & Movement Skills
These gems go into our remaining 4-Socket item, but can go into the 6th unlinked Socket in our 5-Linked items.
- Vaal Grace
- Herald of Ice
- Precision (Level 10)
- Blink Arrow
These gems do not need to be linked and can be put into any remaining open sockets in any of our items early on.
Immortal Call (Optional)
We only have enough sockets available to run this while we still only have 5-Links for Lightning Arrow and Artillery Ballista.
- Immortal Call (Level 3)
- Cast when Damage Taken Support (Level 1)
This setup will help improve our lackluster defences against Physical Damage early on before we have to replace it due to socket pressure when we add the 6th link to our main skills.
